Program Specifications

The Backbone of the Buy

The program specifications represent the basic requirements of the media buy. To ensure the utmost quality, all participating media properties must agree to the requirements and the agency’s (or advertiser’s) terms & conditions before participating in an Enversa session.

Agencies define the following information for each Enversa session:

  • Timing: Dates and/or times the media is required to run
  • Program Requirements: Specific details, such as national print buy or custom sponsorship for online
  • Ad Unit: Type of ad unit, such as full-page, 4-color bleed for print or :30 second commercial for TV
  • Position/Channel/Rotation: Where media must run, such as on specific channels of a website or primetime TV
  • Added Value: Any additional information that media properties are required to provide, such as sponsorship mentions prior to commercial breaks for TV or waiving rich media fees for online
  • Other Requirements: Additional details not captured elsewhere in the requirements

An agency can use the same requirements for all participating media properties or it can create a separate requirements page for each.

The following graphic provides an example of how an agency might define the requirements for a print buy.

Program specifications

The resulting program specifications detail the exact parameters of the buy. Each program is customized based on the advertiser’s specific media-buying needs, ensuring the level of detail included in the program specifications is as narrow or broad as necessary to meet the advertisers' objectives.
